In October of 2003, Denise Phillips of Mustang, OK along with Janisa Kelley of Guymon, Ok, Tina Castor of Yukon, OK and Laverne Ashlock of Yukon, OK began delivering angel bears to hospitals in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.    Since that time, we have many volunteers and have started delivering  to hospitals throughout the state of Oklahoma and a few in Kansas, Texas, and Canada.  We received donated teddy bears from bear drives held by various organizations and clubs.  

Many of our volunteers are grieving parents or grandparents also.  Our goal is to deliver bears to as many hospitals as we can to ensure that no mother will leave the hospital without a bear.  While the bear does not replace the lost child, it does let the parents know that someone cares.
